Description of Training Provider

The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology is a vocational/technical school offering evening and full time adult education courses and certifications

Program Description

The CDL training course will prepare students for entry-level careers in truck driving. Students will gain knowledge and skills to earn a PennDOT CDL permit and pass the Class A CDL test. Students will gain knowledge of Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations and skills to perform pre-trip inspections, operation of a manual transmission truck, back maneuvers, and successful completion of the PennDOT CDL road test, Course will consist of a combination of classroom training, training lot practice, and behind the wheel training. Behind the wheel training on the road will be a one-to-one ratio.
