Description of Training Provider

Program Description

This career track aligns with skills possessed by many at-risk and low-wage workers, including hospitality workers, waitresses, waiters, cashiers, retail workers and tellers. Peirce College allows you to earn college credits for the skills you already have that map to a new career in financial services and complete the training and credentials you will need to qualify for employment in this field. The core competencies include customer service skills, communicating effectively, understanding financial markets, key industry terms, data management, and much more. You will earn up to 19 stackable credits, including a Financial and Business Operations Undergraduate Certificate, which apply directly to undergraduate degree programs at Peirce College. Students will take FINRA’s Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, the first exam required to sit for additional FINRA certifications, such as Series 6 and Series 7, which are required for professional advancement in the field of finance and securities. Peirce will award three credits for passing the SIE exam. Finally, Peirce counselors will help you connect with employment opportunities, apply for jobs, prepare for interviews, and leverage the College’s alumni network.
