Description of Training Provider

Program Description

The curriculum includes power supplies, switches, resistors, capacitors, inductors, motors, transformers, solenoids, lights, fuses, circuit breakers and rheostats. Students will combine motor, electro-pneumatic, and electro-hydraulic control components with relays, timers and counters to create logic and sequential control circuits and develop elementary ladder diagrams. Students will install, test and troubleshoot electrical and electronic components and systems. Students will calculate speed, torque, power, pitch, ratio and mechanical efficiency. Also, students will install, maintain and troubleshoot V-belt drive systems, chain drive systems and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.  The curriculum will provide more in-depth instruction in robotics and automation including; DC Circuits, Single Phase Transformers, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Basic Mechanical Power, Electrical Motors and Controls, Programmable Logic Controls, and Robotics. The mechatronics program provides students the opportunity to work with robotic and automation technologies. Successful graduates may enter the work force as a Commercial & Industrial Equipment Technician, Installation, Maintenance & Repair Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technician and receive a Certificate of Competency in Mechatr
