Program Description
This curriculum prepares students to work with engineers and shop superintendents. Students develop skills in machine operation and theory, blueprint reading and mechanical drawing in the program's labs and shops. Training in job routing and scheduling is included. In the third semester, the emphasis is on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems and computer part programming capabilities. The course work includes discussions of such topics as robotics, graphics, group technology, future trends, and numerical control terms, definitions and standards. Related courses in mathematics, science and physics improve students' advancement potential.
