Description of Training Provider
The student will be able to perform various welding operations using different rods, electrodes & wires & take the welder qualification test in accordance with the (AWS) Structural Code D1 (using the SMAW process).
Program Description
This program offers a certificate of completion in SMAW, GMAW, and Flux Cored Arc Welding And Gas Tungsten Arc Welding on carbon steel plate. The graduate should be prepared to enter the field as a Production or Maintenance welder in an entry level position, utilizing any one or combination of the five processes covered in the program.
Skills & Competencies
The student will be able to perform various welding operations using different rods, electrodes, and wires. Upon graduation, the student will be able to pass performance tests administered by the AWS Inspector and in accordance with the American Welding Society (AWS) Structural Code D1 standards (using the SMAW process).
