Description of Training Provider
Program Description
Course will provide the student with the ability to pass the requirements of the PA Commercial Drivers License test. This program includes requirements for Class A permits which includes the following endorsements: air brakes, haz-mat, tanker, passenger and double/triple trailers. Defensive driving techniques, in vehicle pre-trip inspection and skills maneuvers are demonstrated and practiced. Range exercises include basis shifting, brake adjustments and backing maneuvers. Additional emphasis on coupling/uncoupling, hours of service, trip planning, and D.O.T. regulations with 50 hours behind-the-wheel of instructor/student driving one-on-one (no group of students). The CDL skills and road test is included, since NMTCC is a Third Party testing site. This class prepares the student for a Class A entry level postion in the transportation industry.
