Program Description
The objective of this program is to prepare students to obtain their Class "A" CDL permit with Tanker Endorsement. Students are prepared to sit for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class "A" Commercial Driver's License test. The students will be trained in a variety of other facets of commercial truck driving.
Skills & Competencies
The students will be prepared to sit for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania CDL Class "A" combination vehicle with air brakes and tanker endorsement permit. Students will be given hands on experience driving a commercial vehicle in preparation for taking their Class "A" CDL examination. They will also be given specific driving instruction unique to driving a commercial vehicle in off-road situations. The students will learn the correct placards to be used when traveling with hazardous material. They will be taught to effectively read maps in relation to a commercial vehicle, accurately complete drivers' daily log books and create viable trip routes.
