Fayette County Career & Technical Institute Adult Education Programs
Program Description
Automotive service technician students will learn to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles and lioght trucks that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternate fuels. Students will learn various skills from simple mechanical repairs to high level technology-related work including the uses of computerized shop equipment and work with electronic components. They will also learn how to work with electronic diagnostic equipment, digital manuals, and reference materials. Also included is PA State Inspection, Emissions, MAC 609 and OSHA 10.

Safety rules, Tools/ Fastners; Certifications: PA Safety Inspection, EPA 609 Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling, Emissions, OSHA 10; Suspension and steering; Brakes; Electrical and Electronic Systems; Engine Performance and Repair; Automatic transmissions and transaxle; Natural Drive Train and Axels and Heating and Air Conditioning Units.
