Description of Training Provider
SCTC provides secondary and post-secondary technical training programs and is approved by the PA Dept. of Education, The PA Board of Nursing, and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Program Description
This course will encompass the disciplines of automotive body repair technology and welding technology in a cross-training curriculum. The automotive body repair segment offers training in repair and refinish of damaged automobile and truck bodies and frames. The welding segment will provide basic welding skills with intensive hands-on training in metal arc, MIG, and TIG welding, blueprint reading, layout and project design techniques.
Skills & Competencies
Automobile damage diagnosis, panel preparation, refinishing and custom painting procedures, bonding and fabricating metal using MIG and TIG processes
