Jeff Tech provides career and technical training to secondary and adult student in Jefferson county.
Program Description
Barber Trucking Inc. and Jeff Tech have designed a unique program that is designed to prepare students who currently possess a Class A CDL license for employment. Students gain knowledge through classroom and lab instruction, highway, city and range driving time with a qualified instructor. Classes being held at Barber Trucking’s main terminal in Brookville, will provide students the added benefit of training among the day-to-day operations of the commercial transportation industry.
Skills & Competencies
Safety, pre & post-trip inspection, drop & hook procedures, backing & parking, road driving (city & highway), load securement & weight distribution, map reading & trip planning, and a review of all FMCSA & PA DOT regulations
