The CDL Class A Truck Driving Program prepares students for employment in the transportation industry. This is a three phase program that includes classroom, yard, and road time. Preparation for knowledge test provided. Road test included.

Classroom: Orientation; Preparation for written exams including general knowledge test, air brakes, combinations, doubles/triples, hazmat and tankers; Vehicle Familiarization; Inspection; Repair; Maintenance; Railroad Crossings; Log Exercises; Trip Planning; Job Applications; National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course (PTD). Yard: Vehicle familiarization; Straight line backing, coupling/uncoupling; Pre-trip inspection; Sight-side parallel parking; Sight side jack-knife parallel; Blind side parallel; Blind side jack-knife parallel; Alley dock; Serpentine; Sliding 5th wheel and tandems.
