Program Description

This is 900-hour, full time day welding production course, is designed to educate and prepare the student to their highest level of competency in the welding field. Upon the completion of the 900-hour intense weld course, the student will be able to enter the job market with a completer welding certificate listing all phases the student has accomplished to include S.M.A.W. (welding stick); G.M.A.W. (MIG welding); F.C.A.W. (welding TIG); O.A.W. (oxyacetylene cutting0; O.F.C. and P.A.C. (plasma arc cutting); blueprint reading; safety procedures and practical application of skills. The students will have a career path in Structural Welding; Welder Fitter; Fabrication; Shop Welder; Welder Helper; Welding Machine Helper; Boilermaker; Pipe Fitter; Welding Engineer; Welding Inspector; Welding Machine Operator gas or ARC.

Skills & Competencies

Safety, shielded metal arc and flux-core welding, application and techniques are learned. Blueprint reading and welding symbols are included are included. OSHA-general industry.
