Description of Training Provider
Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC), located at 1620 River Road, just off Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania, is a technical educational institution founded in 1968 to meet the needs of the community and six secondary sending schools
Program Description
The HVAC/R program will prepare students for an entry-level position as an installer, maintenance, or service technician dealing with aspects of the residential and commercial field. This career area is always growing, has great monetary potential and will always be in demand. This field offers many opportunities.
The students will become adept at working with specialty tools, pressure/temperature/electrical meters, metal fabricating devices, torches, refrigerants, and live HVAC/R equipment.
This program is heavily delivered with hands-on lab projects. The students will reinforce this lab work with classroom theory.

What is HVAC/R?
The HVAC/R program will teach you how to install and maintain fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, pumps, and other important components, and to connect electrical wiring and controls and check the unit for proper operation. Instruction will include hand-on experience with a variety of tools used in the industry to work with refrigerant lines and air ducts-such as :
Voltmeters
Thermometers
Pressure Gauges
Other testing devices used to check air flow, refrigerant pressure, electrical circuits, burners and other HVAC/R components
