Program Description
COVID revealed that skilled nursing professionals have formidable technical skills, however, limited skills on the componets that create poor health outcomes. This multi skilled bedside nursing bridge program seeks to provide insight on the social determinants that lead to poor health outcomes and access to quality care. The multiple mini certifications that encompasses this bridge program are Community Health Worker, Patient Experience Technician and a Community Resources fundamentals workshop. Celeebrate Us Workforce Training students who successfully complete these three mini certifications are transitioned into our employer led CNA to LPN employment and training partners. These foundational mini certifications will strengthen program participant's knowledge of social determinants such as poverty, lack of resources, and limited access to quality healthcare that lead to poor health outcomes. The modules included in this bridge program are:<br /> <br /> 1.Motivational interviewing<br /> 2. Effective Communication Skills<br /> 3. Managing Complex Issues<br /> 4. Fundamentals of an Interdisciplinary Medical Team<br /> 5. Emotional Management <br /> 6. Responding to Feedback <br /> 7. Resource Catalog Build Out<br /> 8. Fundamentals of Being Apart of A Team<br /> 9. Deveoping Critical Thinking Skills<br /> 10. Diversity/Cultural Inclusion
