Program Description

The Medical Assistant Program is a certification program that prepares you for a healthcare career in a hospital, clinic or private medical care facility. Medical Assistants cover a variety of administrative task as well as clinical patient care procedures. Real-world practice is provided during externship. Once externship is completed, lifetime job placement is available to every graduating student.

Skills & Competencies

Skills taught: Introduction to Allied Health, Patient care, Clinical and Diagnostic procedures, Anatomy and Physiology, Front Office, Introduction to Medical Coding and Billing, Medical Law and Ethics, Phlebotomy for Medical Assistant and Academic Strategies. Upon completion students are eligible to sit for National Health-Career Association certification.
