Description of Training Provider
The Adult Education Program at CMAVTS serves, on an average, three to four hundred adults. The courses offered are for both the beginner and the advanced student. Course offerings may include any or all of the vocational-technical areas offered at the sec
Program Description
This 120 hour Adult Education Nurse Aide Training Program consists of 52 theory hours, 28 lab hours and 40 clinical hours to prepare students to care for the elderly and more: personal care, basic nursing skills, safety and medical emergencies, infection control measures, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Following successful completion of the training course, students will be eligible to sit for the written and the skills competency testing. Upon passing both portions of the exam, the student will be placed on the PA Nurse Aide Registry.
Skills & Competencies
Nurse Aides are taught to take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living. Activities of daily living include but are not limited to: feeding, bathing, toileting, dressing, and light house work ie. bed making.
