Program Description
The Welding Technology program provides theory and hands-on lab instruction in Oxy-acetylene/plasma cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc Welding and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. This course covers fundamental concepts, welding processes, welding terminology, metal identification, safety and tools. Students are prepared for American Welding Society (AWS) certification and entry level employment by practicing welding skills in a fully equipped state of the art facility.
