Program Description
The AAS-AT Specialize Training in Welding and Fabrication Technology works through a partnership between Clarion U. and our technical partners EIT or Triangle Tech. A student will complete 30 to 33 credits of academic coursework through Clarion U. The student will then decide to either attend EIT in Erie, Pa or one of Triangle Tech’s campuses for the technical part of the program. A student will complete 28 to 30 credits at the technical provider in classes such as Intro to Arc Welding Process, Blueprint reading, Structural steel welding, metallurgy, etc. Coordination of the student’s program will be done by Clarion U.’s interim Director of Workforce.
Skills & Competencies
Upon completion of the Welding Technology program, students will understand the common welding processes and applications at the foundation, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will be qualified for entry level employment in the welding field positions which include Welder, Welding Specialist, Welding Technology.
