Description of Training Provider

CWCTC is vocational technical school accredited by the PA Department of Education offering 23 secondary and adult education programs. Adult programs include CDL, NTMA Machinist Apprentice Program, PennDOT State Inspection and Emissions Classes.

Program Description

This 40 hour course prepares students for employment as a CDL Class B commercial truck driver to operate straight trucks and tri-axle dump trucks. Twenty hours of classroom instruction prepares students for the state written test and 20 hours of driving instruction prepares students for the skills exam. Driving instruction is conducted one student to one truck. CWCTC is a Third Party Test Site certified by the PA Department of Transportation to administer the skills exam on-site by state certified examiners. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate from CWCTC and a CDL B License.

Skills & Competencies

Basic operation of straight truck, safe operating practices, advanced operating practices, vehicle systems, CDL general knowledge and endorsements.
