Program Description

Let us train you to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office! Classroom program includes a combination of instruction and campus hands-on labs in preparing patients for examination & treatment, routine lab procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life cycle. Upon successful completion of this program, students would be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination in addition to qulaifying for a 160-hour externship. Classes will include core training, Legal and Ethical Issues in Healthcare, Computer Skills for the Workplace, and 12 hours of essential skills training, resume and interviewing coaching. Student will also perform 160 clinical externship.

Skills & Competencies

Upon successful completion of this program, students would be eligible to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national examination. Externship requires successful completion of the academic portion of the program, daylight hours (no weekends) and FBI clearance.
