Description of Training Provider

This is an 11 month LPN program offered at the Warren County Vocational Technical School. It is approved by the New Jersey Board of Education. At the completion of the program you will be permitted to apply for licensure as a licensed practical nurse

Program Description

The Warren County Technical School Licensed Practical Nursing Program is an 11 month program where upon completion you will receive a diploma in practical nursing. Graduates may then apply to the State Board of Nursing to sit for the NCLEX-PN examination for licensure as and LPN. There are 750 class hours and 750 clinical hours. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:15pm to 10pm. There is an online component to supplement in class learning. At the end of the program there is a 3 day live review from the Advanced Technologies Institute that will help you to prepare for the NCLEX-PN examination.

Skills & Competencies

Students will learn to do vital signs, pass medications, the structure and function for the human body, and pathophysiology as related to illness. There are courses in medical terminology, foundations of nursing, medication calculation, pharmacology, medical and surgical nursing, pediatrics, mental health and maternal and child health nursing. Nursing education to fulfill the requirements and allow you to sit for your NCLEX examination after successful completion
