Program Description
A Building Trades Maintenance student, under teacher direction and independently, will demonstrate safety in all aspects of basic shop skills and property maintenance while performing basic carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and refinishing tasks. The student will also proficiently operate portable and stationary power tools while implementing tool & machine maintenance. This is a hands-on program designed to keep the student engaged all tools and equipment while performing industry-standard skills. Students in this program will have the opportunity to earn the following industry credentials/certifications: S/P 2 Construction Training, and OSHA10-Hour Construction Certificate via CareerSafe.
