Description of Training Provider
Great Lakes Truck Driving School is a privately held corporation, specializing in professional truck driving, heavy equipment operation, and oilfield certification training for career placement into the transportation, construction, and oilfield industrie
Program Description
This program is designed for individuals who have no previous tractor trailer or bus experience and are seeking training to obtain a Class A Commercial Drivers License. It also includes training and certifications in techniques and safe operation of the most commonly used construction equipment. Training prepares students for the CDL State Skills Exam and entry level employment as a tractor trailer driver and/or heavy equipment operator.
Skills & Competencies
160 hours of backhoe, bulldozer, skid steer, front end loader and mini excavator training, 80 classroom instruction, 80 hours driving range and 40 hours road training. Graduates receive state and NCCER (National Center for Construction Education & Research) and are registered in the NCCER National Registry.
