Delaware County Community College is an open-access institution of higher education that serves the broadly diverse communities and peoples of Delaware and Chester Counties as well as the surrounding region. The career training programs offered by the College are designed to take students from where they are to professional success in their careers.
This program combines the Venipuncture(Phlebotomy) Technician, Electrocardiograph(EKG) Technician and CPR/AEF certifications to make students employable in a variety of clinical fields. These courses teach basic venipuncture techniques for adults, children and infants as it prepares the student to take the phlebotomy exam. Coursework includes aseptic methods and isolation procedures. . Provides practice with equipment and hands-on lab experience, anatomy, use of the EKG machine and prepares students to become a certified EKG technician. First Aid CPR/AED certifications included. The career and technical programs at Delaware County Community College utilize innovative technologies to enhance the education & training with career preparation being the goal. All testing for certifications is included.
