Description of Training Provider
Program Description
Upon completion, program participants have the option of applying for an apprenticeship to their choice of skilled trades. Throughout the program, participants are mentored to assist with building and increasing job readiness and retention, prepare for apprentice entry exams, and soft skills necessary for sustainability and for competitive union positions to remain successful throughout their careers. Course activities/curriculum include but not limited to exposure to skilled trades, apprentice programs, and networking with professionals in the construction industry via speakers and site visits to construction sites and JATC centers. The intensive 5-6 week program provides participants to reflect on their interest and talents before committing to the path of apprenticeships.
