Description of Training Provider
Lackawanna College is approved by the Pennsylvania State Department of Education to grant degrees and is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Program Description
This 68 week certificate program is designed to give the student a full understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Introduction to Computers and Advanced Computers. The students will be prepared to take the MOS Certification exam for each program application. In addition, the student will receive instruction in Principles of Management, Office Technology, Math of Finance, Business Communications, Accounting, Computerized Accounting Management Information System, and Human Resources Management, Also included is the Online Project Management Professional (PMP) course. This course will provide entry-level project managers with the knowledge and skills take the Project Management Institute’s nationally recognized Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. This credential is considered the standard of excellence in the field of project management and is often a required credential in the field. This comprehensive course will use online learning activities, practice exams, and assignments to help students prepare for the PMP exam. To apply for the PMP, students will need to have either: A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and a minimum of 35 hours of project management education. OR A four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent) with at least three years of project management
