Fayette County Career & Technical Institute Adult Education Programs
Program Description
This 900-hour, full time Diesel Technology course is designed to educate and prepare the student to achieve a high-level competency in the Diesel Transportation Field. Upon completion of this 900-hour intense Diesel Technology program, the student will be able to enter the job market at an entry level or high technician. The curriculum for this course is based on the PA Program of Study.
Skills & Competencies
The student will have hands-on training from an ASE Certified Instructor in the truck and heavy equipment field. Students will learn every aspect of the trucks from hydraulics and transmissions to refrigeration systems and engine diagnostics. The students are trained for all categories for the PA State inspection license and the EPA 609 for automotive refrigeration. Also included will be OHSA 10-General Industry and forklift training. PA State Emissions Inspector Certification is available upon request.
