Description of Training Provider

SCTC provides secondary and post-secondary technical training programs and is approved by the PA Dept. of Education, The PA Board of Nursing, and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Program Description

This program prepares students to become commercial vehicle operators. Students are prepared to pass CDL tests in general knowledge, combination vehicles, air brakes, hazardous materials, and double/trip trailers. Other aspects of training include pre-trip inspection, log books, DOT regulations, safety, cargo handling, job search, and extensive road training. Students receive a certificate of completion and are eligible to test for a Class A license.
