Diploma of Dental Assisting - The Dental Assisting Program at Contemporary Health Career Institute provides students with the tools necessary to start a new career as a dental assistant in just 10 weeks. Housed in an ultra-modern dental office, students are prepared to begin working as assistant in any of the dental specialties.
Skills & Competencies
Intro to dentistry and assisting, basic dental assisting techniques, Radiology Techniques. Dental anatomy, Dental charting, Office opening and closing procedures, sterilization process and treatment room preparation, assisting in dental procedures, preparing for dental procedures, instrument transfer, foundations of radiology, preparation for the DANB RHS exam (National Certification), dental radiography, introduction into dental specialties, patient impressions, preparing bleach trays, practice management, patient scheduling and registration.
