Program Description
The Practical Nursing program prepares students for eligibility for NCLEX-PN, the licensure exam to become a practical nurse as approved by the PA State Board of Nursing. It is a 1540 clock hour program. Course work includes study of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, nursing practice standards and clinical application for caring for all age groups from infants to elderly with a variety of conditions and clinical settings, nursing ethics and law, and professionalism.

Skills of nursing practice, including medication administration and evaluation, based on current PA regulation and national practice standards; diploma leads to eligibility to apply for license exam (NCLEX); healthcare provider CPR certification
