Program Description
The Machine Technology program prepares individuals with the skills and knowledge to become a Machine Tool Operator in the metal working industry. Instruction is provided in the operation of lathes, grinding lathes and machines, drilling and milling machines and heat treatment operations. A diploma is granted upon graduation.
Skills & Competencies
The Precision Machining program prepares individuals with the skills and knowledge to become a Machine Tool Operator in the metal working industry. Instruction is provided in the operation of lathes, turret lathes, grinding lathes and machines, drilling and milling machines and heat treatment operations. Further training is provided in the latest computer numerical control machines found in today's industry. Students may take certification tests to receive NIMS certification.
