Program Description
The ICTC Welding program follows American Welding Society (AWS) curriculum guidelines for entry level welders. AWS is a professional, international organization that guides the welding industry. This structure provides qualified students the opportunity to earn industry credentials endorsed by the AWS. Students learn entry-level skills in Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW, STICK), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW, TIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW, MIG), and different cutting processes such as Oxy-Fuel Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, as well as Air Carbon Arc Cutting (ACAC). Students will also gain a solid foundation in safety, occupational orientation, and fabrication.
