Program Description
In partnership with the Project Management Institute-Delaware Valley Chapter (PMI-DVC), DCCC offers the Project Management Foundations as well as Project Management Professional Exam Prep (PMP) courses to prepare for certification in project management.
Project Management Professional certification recognizes your project management knowledge, skills, and abilities and demonstrates your project management expertise and professional experience. Registration includes a PMI membership that will provide you with the following:
Free download of the PMBOK® Guide, unlimited access to PMI standards + a digital solution that provides instant searchable access to content from PMI’s Standards,
Ready-to-go project plans, deliverable templates, and checklists from among over one thousand peer-tested resources.
Events and webinars to keep you aligned with new trends as well as connect with fellow project managers from across the globe with discounted rates for live and virtual events.
Membership also includes access to two free premium virtual events each year.

The PMP program is for those experienced in Project Management or who have taken Project Mgmt. courses.
Skills & Competencies
This course brings you up-to-speed in current principles and practices of project management. Taught by PMP-certified practitioners working in the field as well as academic practitioners, you will immediately apply what you have learned as well as study for PMP certification. The Project Management program curriculum includes Microsoft Project. An experienced Project Management Professional will help you master the essentials of project management. You will become an indispensable member of your project team by discovering and mastering the critical concepts you need to plan, implement, control and close any type of project. You'll learn about project politics and ethics, project measurements, and project closure. You'll be able to develop all sections of a project plan, you'll become comfortable with the project management body of knowledge, and you'll develop a variety of powerful techniques to generate project ideas.
