Summary:

Negotiate with suppliers to procure goods and services in alignment with the Extrusions North America Procurement Manual. Initiate RFP process and evaluate quotes. Process requisitions and blanket purchase items for storeroom stock parts, non-storeroom supplies and services needed for maintenance and production. Expedite all orders and close Pos each month. Conduct supplier review meetings and supplier evaluations. Reconcile invoice and receipt discrepancies to assist timely payment to suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement responsibilities include ordering from requisitions daily, updating and expediting orders when needed, maintaining blanket ordered parts for storeroom stock.

Actively seek cost savings opportunities through daily quoting, negotiating, and buying activities for submission to LESS Cost Savings program.

Source new parts from existing and new suppliers. Add new store stock items to purchase orders to create blanket releases. Create new suppliers in Oracle as needed.

Assist Storeroom Supervisor with maintaining storeroom inventory levels. Work with Maintenance to review repair vs buy for repairable spare parts.

Work with AP for invoicing resolutions and with Receiving to resolve incoming order discrepancies to keep AP Holds to less than 15 days. Ensure suppliers are paid timely and accurately. Ensure location's procurement processes are compliant to all Hydro Procurement Manual requirements.

Other duties and activities related to the purchasing job function as required.

Job Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years previous purchasing experience required preferably in a manufacturing MRO environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Experience working with ERP systems preferred.

Must be highly motivated with ability to work independently and with team members in other departments.

Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.

Confidence to address and/or report compliance issues if any are noted.

Education and Work Requirements:

2-Yr Associate Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
