Position Description

 IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

     * Manage concerns and grievances from patients, their families, and other healthcare consumers

     * Intervene in crisis situations and negotiate resolutions between conflicted parties

     * Operate within an ethical construct, seek to promote the interest of the patient first and foremost, and then seek to promote relationships between staff and patients

     * Recognize the diversity and uniqueness of each person which leads to a more positive and individualized healthcare experience

     * Proactively communicate and demonstrate the concern and responsiveness of Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (AEHN)

     * Provide a specific channel through which patients can seek solutions to problems, concerns and unmet needs

     * This position requires providing service to the following age population(s): infant to geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

     IF YOU POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS, PLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY:

     * Baccalaureate or Associates Degree in Behavioral or Clinical Sciences

     * Three years experience working in a service-oriented organization, preferably in a healthcare setting

     * Must possess self-motivation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

     * Demonstrated mediation, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention skills

     * Computer proficiency must be demonstrated in word processing as well as applications necessary to fulfill department procedures

     PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

     * Physical Requirements: Alternating activity which includes sitting standing, walking and lifting objects of 20 lbs. or less

     * Visual Requirements: Alternating activity, which includes reading handwritten and computer generated information

     * Hearing Requirements: Alternating activity, which includes receiving verbal and telephonic information
