DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To learn and perform essential job functions in Parts Shipping, Distribution Center/Warehouse, Fabrication and Production in two-month rotational periods


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Parts Shipping:

*Efficiently complete the packing of orders using the Matrix/ProductionWare system

*Complete the shipping process in Oracle, UPS and FedEx systems

Distribution Center/Materials:

*Pull orders and parts for customer orders or stock

*Load and unload trailers

*Learn the basics functions to properly move, assemble and test parts and finished products

*Verify orders by referring picking tickets to product labels

*Write up re-work tickets, apply shipping labels, and stretch wrap/band product

*Differentiate similar model/serial numbers accurately and efficiently

*Perform a variety of tasks related to distribution center operating needs as directed by management

Fabrication Assembler:

*Perform various tasks including product packaging, assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, and performing basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery

*Test and calibrate assembled mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications

*Perform production assembly tasks including product packaging in daily operations utilizing hand tools and standard power tools

*Identify and bring to the attention of the Line Leader any documentation errors (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions)

Assembler I:

*Perform production assembly tasks including product packaging in daily operations utilizing hand tools and standard power tools

*Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team

General Duties:

*Work closely with assigned mentors

*Be aware of all Quality requirements

*Follow the Work Instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary


REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest

*Must be 18 years of age or older



Must have the ability to:

*Safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Be cross trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)

*Utilize Pride systems - Manufacturing Assistants will receive micro-certifications in Pride systems

*Stand/walk/bend throughout workday

*Operate a forklift and/or a vertical lift with in-house certified training - Manufacturing Assistants will receive forklift certification

*Operate at heights up to 30 feet with in-house certified training

*Work within warehouse environment*

*Warehouse environment has moderate forklift traffic, and may be cool in the winter and hot in the summer

*Use a hydraulic lift, hand tools, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment

*Use measuring tools and standard power tools

*Read and comprehend work instructions

*Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 80 lbs



Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement - Manufacturing Assistants will have the opportunity to complete Lean Continuous Improvement certifications

*A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

*Basic mathematical and reading skills

*Good verbal and written communication skills

*Basic computer skills

*Reliable transportation


PREFERRED SKILLS

*Basic working knowledge of hand tools preferred


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*No experience required


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 6 months of experience utilizing hand tools in a working environment preferred


REQUIRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma or GED achieved by beginning of employment
