DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To use hand and other standard tools to build cushions that meet order specifications and production standards

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Use hand and standard tools, such as a band saw, glue gun, and trimming knives to assemble

foams and fabrics into cushions of various size, shape and style based on order specifications

*Perform various tasks including organizing materials, cutting, gluing, assembling and packaging

*Read and follow electronic work instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines and be aware of and adhere to all Quality requirements in the build process

*Deliver completed cushions to Production areas as needed

*Utilize Oracle to scan cushions into sub-inventory when delivered to Production areas

*Utilize Kanban inventory system

*Notify leadership of any documentation errors (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions, etc.)

*Adhere to department guidelines and the calibration schedule for all tools in your work area

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

*Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

*Be flexible with working hours based on business needs

*Use hand tools and standard power tools such as a band saw, cutting tools, irons, knives, glue gun, etc.

*Read and comprehend work instructions

*Read a ruler and/or tape measure

*Stand/walk/bend throughout workday

*Lift/Push/Pull 20 lbs

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

*Good verbal and written communication skills

*Basic mechanical skills

PREFERRED SKILLS

*Basic working knowledge production standard concepts, practices, and procedures preferred

*Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*No experience required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 1 year of experience using hand tools and standard power tools to assemble and repair products in a manufacturing environment preferred

*Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

REQUIRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma, GED, or 12 years of consistent work experience
