Wesley Village is currently hiring a Janitor for a Full-Time Day opportunity.

What will I do?

• Floor Maintenance: stripping, waxing, burnishing, buffing, and scrubbing
• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans floors and carpets in hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
• Pre-spot clean, extract and shampoo carpeted areas.
•  Sweeps, damp-mop, scrub, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
•  Restocks supplies as needed.
•  Notifies Director of any necessary repairs.

What do I need for this role?

• At least one month related experience or training

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. 

• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand

  • Walk

  • Use hands and finger to handle or feel

  • Reach with hands and arms

  • Climb or balance

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

  • Effectively communicate with co-workers and residents

  • May occasionally be required to smell

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
