Senior Business Analyst - SENIO016992

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst on our Professional Services team. The Business Analyst is the individual who will have primary responsibility to analyze, validate, manage, specify, and verify the exact needs of the project stakeholders, customers and end users. The BA will serve as a conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which the project requirements will flow. The Business Analyst will create Business Requirement Documents, provide cost specifications, and produce outline designs of IT requirements, to ensure the system will perform as expected by the end user.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Understanding business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements for enhancements to existing applications.
* Elicit requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process modeling, use cases, scenarios and business workflow analysis.
* Document & manage requirement changes & their causes through project/product life cycle.
* Verify, validate and attain approval on gathered requirements.
* Assist the Quality Services team for system, integration, functional and user acceptance testing of developed applications.
* Manage projects to deadlines and schedules, manage resources in accordance with project, maintain project schedule and work with customer Project Management from project kick-off through implementation to production.
* Provides implementation services, including application documentation and training, formulation of training/implementation plans, deployment within the business, and handover to Support Services.
* Provides initial post implementation support of newly rolled out applications and works with users to help them troubleshoot and resolve problems on their own.
* Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
* Become a subject matter expert on data, system, processes, and business methodologies.
* Perform a variety of complex tasks including creation of business rules and system functionality using an XPath like language.

Required Experience
* BS in Business or Computer Science or related field.
* Agile methodology experience
* Experience supporting external clients
* Excellent customer service experience 
* Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

Desired/Optional Experience
* Familiarity with ACORD life insurance standards a plus.
* Familiarity with XML a plus.
* Familiarity with DTCC/IPS operations a plus.
* Demonstrated aptitude towards analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to assess relevant facts, identify alternative approaches and supply recommended solutions.
* Life and Annuity insurance background helpful but not required.
* Life insurance company operations experience a plus
* Familiar with life insurance and annuity products.
