As a member of SCHOTT's International Graduate Program the chosen candidate will participate in an 18-24 month development program which includes a 3 month international assignment in one of our sister companies. This exciting position will allow the chosen candidate to expand their intercultural skills while gaining valuable international experience. The chosen candidate will have extensive contact with SCHOTT management, contractors, vendors and peers within the company, and frequent interaction with department managers, supervisors, team leaders, and individual employees.

Project tasks include production expansion as well as ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity, and the optimization of processes and systems
Engineering activities in different areas such as design engineering, facility engineering, production engineering, as well as preventative/predictive and corrective maintenance
Provides technical engineering expertise to all departments within the company
Confers with internal customers and end users of equipment to clarify or resolve problems, develop and modify designs.
Analyzes data proposed equipment specifications to determine feasibility of design concept
Prepares layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Plans, develops and conducts equipment test programs. Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
Directs external contractors on an as needed project basis.
Maintain adequate engineering records of all product drawings, machine tool drawings, machinery modifications, layouts, etc. essential for future reference.
Supports company-wide programs and initiatives such as 5S, TWI, TPM, etc.
Provides data for management decisions by use of: estimates, quotes, layouts, and project plans
Performs other duties as assigned

Your Profile

Bachelor's of Science in Engineering
Minimum 3 years related experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Computer skills, CAD and Project software
Willingness to complete a 3 month international assignment in a foreign country
