Small family business seeks general laborer/personal assistant for Master HVAC Mechanic.
Entry-level position available to assist in the repair and installation of HVAC and hydronic equipment. Successful candidate will be of good character and not afraid of long days and hard work. Responsibilities include job site cleanliness and safety, moving tools and equipment unassisted, keeping vehicle clean and organized, and directly assisting with supervised mechanical tasks. Must know how to use a hand truck/dolly. Must be able to lift 70 lbs unassisted and on stairs. Basic knowledge of tools a plus. Veterans preferred but not required. Must have a natural inclination to be of service to others. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday plus emergencies as needed. We are an emergency service. If a customer is without heat or hot water, we are there!
The job involves travel to commercial job sites in PA, NJ and DE. Applicants must be able to provide their own transportation to job sites or to yard for dispatch. A valid driver’s license and good driving record a must. Military service a plus. $15/hour to start plus time and half for overtime. Paid sick, vacation and holiday time. Medical benefits.
