Category/Shift/Hours per 2 week pay period: Full Time / Day Shift / 75 hours per pay period
Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries is one of the premier employers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Senior Living Services and Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the daily operations of the assigned senior community center.
- Works with Meals on Wheels staff and volunteers to ensure MOW delivery policies and procedures are followed.
- Plans, organizes and implements daily activity programs according to established policies and procedures.
- Oversees preparation of food kitchen for operational readiness according to established safety and sanitation procedures.
- Covid Vaccine Mandate currently required. Medical and Religious exemptions can be filed
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Human Services, Communications Management, Social Welfare, Public Relations or a related field preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions normally required.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, reach, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
