PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Oversee daily operation of warehouse/conditioning plant and quality control of all finished seed lots.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads, and develops warehouse workers and production assistants.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage seed conditioning process for all lots to ensure quality standards meet customer expectations

Organizes the conditioning plant and bins for efficient conditioning.

Oversees cleanliness of plant, bins and grounds.

Maintains a physical inventory of conditioned product and seed stored in bins.

Collects daily product samples from conditioning equipment.

Adheres to conditioning schedule set by the Location Manager.

Maintains record-keeping relating to incoming dirt seed and conditioned seed, treatment and bagging records.

Communicates with Location Manager regarding any potential problems or issues that would cause a delay to the bagging staff.

Preserves the value of all seed, including screenings, to minimize loss.

Ensures seed quality by meeting all required standards.

Assists bagging staff with bagging and mixing seed treatment

Maintains all conditioning equipment.

Inspect/rouging grower small grain fields with crew.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires an Associate's degree in agriculture, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of agricultural industry related work experience to demonstrate leadership ability and project management skills.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Normally requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Continuously exposed or required to:

* Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
* Noisy conditions
* Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
* May be required to work at varying heights
* Confined spaces
* Lift 71-100 lbs.
* Required to push heavy objects

Ability to work extended hours.

Ability to travel independently and overnight.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
