Overview

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is currently seeking an Intern to support the Personal Lines Underwriting department. As an intern you will be learning key fundamental business skills. You will be working in an incredibly fast moving business, and have the opportunity to make valuable contributions. 

Responsibilities

• Data Entry
• Maintain electronic files per company guidelines
• Review policy proposals, declarations, endorsements, or cancellations as directed
• Other support tasks may be directed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field 
• Possess effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions independently 
• Have the ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines 
• Be detail oriented 
• Be a team player 
• Possess effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills 
• Have knowledge and skillful utilization of Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel and other programs as needed to execute assigned tasks
