Senior Scientist - AlloSeq

The senior scientist will conduct and manage assay development activities for new in-vitro diagnostic medical devices and updating of existing commercial medical devices. The role includes liaising with software development team. The Scientist must have appropriate training, experience and professional experience to take ownership of and work with the following activities.
Develop and execute feasibility and research plans, define project scope, timelines and milestones.
Liaise with appropriate CareDx QA and regulatory personnel to ensure development activities are performed in compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements.
Support program/project status reporting and management reviews
*Lead team meetings and maintain minutes database as required
Design, guide, and conduct experiments and associated analysis
Responsibilities include writing technical documentation (IFUs, verification plans and reports, etc)
Present development activities and data at project- and company meetings.
Assist with the development of training material and instructions for use for new products.
Subject matter expertise customer support for assay and software issues.
Attend and present at HLA- focused conferences as applicable. Emphasis on providing users on latest products and developments.
Preparation and review of laboratory protocols and procedures as defined within the specific projects to ensure proper design transfer.
Masters Degree in Molecular Genetics, Molecular Biology, Medical Science or equivalent preferred.
Extensive experience optimizing PCR, hybrid capture and next-generation sequencing-beased assays
Demonstrable knowledge of HLA, transplant and Immunogenetics
Ability to independently design experiments, analyze data and work effectively in a team setting.
Demonstrated experience in Research and Development, medical device or similar development
This position will require strong problem-solving skills and excellent oral, written and communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills.
