Summary/ Objective:

This position is responsible for delivering material to customers at designated locations in specific timeframes.

Essential Functions:

Organize placement of material on trucks for effective and timely delivery

Inspect trucks each day per DOT regulations and complete required DOT paperwork

Deliver material to customers and pick-up returns

Communicate with sales department regarding order problems

Assist in various tasks that promote the effective functioning of the warehouse

Immediately report any accidents/incidents to your immediate supervisor and the Manager of General Services.

Clean out truck cab and box after each delivery route.

Stage all returned material in appropriate areas.

Assist with picking or put-away in the warehouse.

Additional tasks as assigned.

Build and maintain customer service relationships

No positions report to this role.

Work Environment:

This job operates out of a warehouse, or in a delivery truck. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, internet, phones, and photocopiers. When at warehouse you will be indoors, other times outdoors. Temperatures may be extreme (hot or cold).

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally life and move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to drive for a long period of time.

Travel:

This position spends 75% or more time on the road traveling. No over-night travel is required for this position. Valid driver's license is required.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Two years of warehouse experience preferred

Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required

DOT Medical Card required
