Job Summary:
Assists in the treatment and care of the patient while following hospital established policy and procedure under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Cares for injured, disabled, mentally ill, or elderly patients in a healthcare setting. Performs direct care duties by bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating patients. Recognizes unit needs and intervenes within the scope of abilities. Works efficiently with the team and develops open communications with peers, patients, and visitors to ensure a quality holistic approach to patient care.

Education - Required:

High School Diploma/GED and successful completion of nursing aide/assistant training program. Experience - Required:

1 year of experience or completion of nursing aide training program qualifies as experience with time spent working in a physician office or hospital setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:

Ability to work under stressful situations and adapt to changes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and hospital EMR systems.

Certifications - Required:

CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire and

Health Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 Days and

Health Services\CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation within 30 Days
