Supervisor

Summary

The Supervisor provides a physically and emotionally safe working environment promoting mutual trust and respect. Supervisor is delivering a safe reliable product to our customer while achieving measurable objectives and making process improvements. Use leadership tools to drive team engagement and deliver business value.

Job Responsibilities

Investigates safety incidents and works on preventive safety techniques with teams.

Provides first response (first on help chain) to team members when customer demand is jeopardized, or area is shutting down due to safety and /or quality problems.

Sponsors and facilitates rapid problem-solving process across areas. Works to remove waste across areas.

Maintains personal touch with each team member during the shift

Develop work Instructions and/or Standardized Work with team members and sponsors use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety and quality practices, Standardized Work across areas.

Coaches and educates crew/team in Safety, Quality, EBS concepts/principles, work practices, problem solving methods, and people issues.

Uses problem solving techniques to resolve system related problems, quality problems and human relation problems across areas.

Signs off on standardized work forms to put improvements in place.

Provide supervision, direction and administrative functions - assignments, decisions, recognition, consequences, performance, discipline, etc. to team members in assigned areas.

Monitors area for normal or abnormal conditions and educates crew based on findings.

Instructs team on necessary actions to take and implement necessary countermeasures and needed in ahead or behind conditions across the area.

Decides on engagement or resources (help chain) based on problem severity (impact on productivity, safety, quality, etc.) when pulled by team members or customers.

Job Requirements

3 Years or more in a Manufacturing Environment required.

Shop Floor experience in the Home Department preferred

Leadership experience and training preferred

Education and Work Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
