Job Summary: Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, Emergency and admission of individuals who have hospital based outpatient testing or procedures. Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for admission into computer system. Distributes appropriate information needed to ancillary departments. Collects and verifies accurate insurance information needed for billing purposes and also collects all necessary co-pay, deductible and co-insurance amounts at the time of registration.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent.

ust be able to read, understand and speak basic English. Must be computer literate. Ability to communicate effectively when dealing with patients. Accuracy with documenting patient information. Must be able to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications: Hospital/ Medical Office experience preferred.

Licensure and Certifications: CPR certification

Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
