Job Description:  Takes leadership role in the selection of CNC machining platforms and directly responsible for programming and set-up of CNC machines! Additionally, this position will work directly with Process Engineering and/or Supply Chain Specialists in the creation of Prototype and/or Production processes including set-up, fixturing, tooling, and inspection methodologies. Lastly, this position will have direct involvement in the hiring and training of production machinists.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. Identification/Installation of CNC and/or Manual Machining Centers
  2. Program and Set-up of Machining Centers
  3. Fixture Design and Tooling selection for Prototype and/or Production Processes
  4. Hiring of machining personnel
  5. Training of machining personnel
  6. Preventative maintenance of machines
  7. Spare part maintenance
  8. Tool crib Creation and Function
  9. Contributes in the creation of Quality Control Workplans
  10. Assist in Equipment Validation
  11. Technological Introductions to optimize production and quality inspection
  12. Device Process Creation with Supply Chain Specialists
  13. Assist in preparation of “Key Performance Indicators”
  14. Maintain Cell Environment including 5S, Equipment Placement and Safety

Educational Requirements:  Toolmaker Apprenticeship or Equivalent Technical Training in CNC Programming and Set-up!

 

Experience Requirements: 8-10 years Manufacturing experience including Set-up, Production, Root Cause Analysis and Manufacturing Cell creation.
